BuzzRack's EAZZY series offers practical fitting, user-friendly features and compact storage. The EAZZY series is a good solution for bikes with carbon frames, as no pressure is placed on the carbon tubes. The EAZZY2 is a well-designed bike carrier that is smart, sophisticated and great value for money. It is easy to fold thanks to the two wheel supports, which fold into the carrier's uprights and can be kept closed with the included straps. This makes it easy to lift, easy to fit and easy to store, for example in the boot. The metal parts are made of steel, but because it is a vertical two-handed lift, it feels surprisingly light and puts no strain on your back when fitting or removing it.

The EAZZY2 won the BRISBANE GOLD DESIGN AWARD in 2019 and the IF DESIGN AWARD in 2020.

Key elements:

Assembly:

The EAZZY2 comes assembled, apart from the lights, which need to be attached. These are fixed with a single screw on each side - making the lights easy to replace if they get damaged. All accessories and tools are included in the delivery.

Fitting to the car:

The EAZZY2 is mounted on the car in its folded state. This gives you all the space you need to work on the towbar. Once the EAZZY2 is placed on the towbar, it supports itself - so you can let go of the carrier without it falling to the ground. After the carrier is on the towbar, take the weight again, turn the tightening knob until fully tight and finally lock it. BuzzRack's carriers comply with the very precise XPR-18-904-4 standard, so an anti-sway tensioner is included; it has an integrated handle, and 2 or 3 turns are usually sufficient.

The lighting system:

The EAZZY2 comes with a 13-pin lighting system, including a reversing light and UK-compatible fog lights. An adapter from 13-pin to 7-pin is not included.

Tilt function:

The EAZZY2 has a tilt function that gives easier access to the boot. Tilting is light and well balanced, even fully loaded. The EAZZY2 sits high on the towbar, and the tilt function is optimised to prevent the lights from touching the road surface. This tilt function does not, however, allow tall vertical tailgates to be opened, such as on the VW Transporter T5 and T6.

Carrying bikes:

The wheel holders accommodate all wheelbases, even children's bikes. The long rubber-padded wheel straps hold tyres up to 3.25" wide; pull the straps to tighten and use the quick release to loosen again. The EAZZY2 is perfectly suited to bikes with carbon frames; the rubber-padded frame cradles rotate 360 degrees, while durable straps hold any tube type firmly but gently. The maximum permitted load is 40 kg, and each bike may weigh a maximum of 20 kg. Electric bikes up to 20 kg can be carried, but the EAZZY series is not ideal for these bikes. The down tube is limited to 75 mm in diameter (3"). The heaviest bike should always be loaded closest to the car. There is a built-in locking cable to secure the bikes; as usual, this is only a deterrent.

The maximum permitted load is also determined by the towbar's nose weight; make sure you do not exceed it before using a bike carrier. Requires 65 mm clearance from the centre of the towbar to the rear of the car.
