The Chargr WP18 is a compact, reliable wallbox for home charging. With up to 11 kW on 3 phases it charges your electric car or plug-in hybrid overnight, so you start every morning with a full battery. The box has a fixed 5-metre Type 2 cable, so there is no loose charging cable to carry around, and you can reach the car even when it is not parked right next to the wall. See the charging status from a distance

The vertical LED strip on the front lights up to show what the box is doing - even from a window inside the house. A quick glance tells you whether the car is charging or the charge is complete.

Access control with RFID cards

Two RFID cards are included. Hold the card against the reader on the front to start charging, which means nobody can use your electricity without a valid card. That is especially useful if the box faces the pavement, a shared carport or a driveway that others can access.

Built for outdoor use all year round

The WP18 is IP65 rated and operates in temperatures from -30 °C to +55 °C. The housing is made of flame-retardant polycarbonate (UL94 V0) and withstands rain, sleet and dust, so the box can be mounted on the house wall, in the carport or on the garage wall. The charging connector is tested for more than 10,000 connections. At 170 x 270 x 70 mm it takes up no more wall space than an ordinary letterbox.

Built-in DC fault detection saves you an expensive Type B RCD

The box has built-in protection against DC residual current (6 mA). This means your electrician can usually fit a standard Type A RCD in the consumer unit instead of a more expensive Type B. The electrician makes the final assessment based on your installation.

Installation

The wallbox is designed for fixed installation and must be connected by a qualified electrician. All EV charging points require RCD protection. Because the box detects DC residual current itself (6 mA), a Type A RCD (30 mA) can normally be used - your electrician assesses the specific installation and carries out a verification test before the box is put into service.
