This granny charger is the perfect solution if you want a flexible, safe and portable charger for your electric or plug-in hybrid car. The charger plugs directly into an ordinary 230V wall socket (DK 3-pin Schuko) and delivers stable single-phase charging at 6A. That makes it ideal as an emergency charger, travel charger or spare charger – for example at the holiday home, when visiting family, or as a backup in the car. Flexible, safe charging anywhere

The 5-metre cable gives you plenty of reach in everyday use. The built-in IC-CPD safety unit monitors the charging process and protects against overcurrent, voltage faults and overheating, so you can charge safely and gently. With its IP65 rating, the charger is protected against dust and water and is therefore well suited to outdoor use all year round. It comes complete with a practical storage bag.

What is a granny charger?

A granny charger, also known as an emergency EV charger, is a portable charging unit that can be used with an ordinary wall socket. The name comes from those situations where you visit family – for example your granny – where a wallbox is rarely installed. It works as a practical and safe backup solution that lets you charge the car slowly and steadily, wherever you are.
